I went and looked at it this morning. The front end is totally shot, the brake rotors are warped, the tires are nine years old, cracked, and bulging, the rear main seal is leaking, and I think it’s burning a little coolant. Could still be a decent buy for someone, it’s sitting at $2300 with about two hours to go. That someone won’t be me, because whoever that someone is, is going to have to drop a grand in it on day one, with more coming before too long. Body was pretty solid, a bit of rust on the rockers and the rear bumper was a bit crunchy, but all in all not too bad. The interior was in REALLY good shape.

Isn’t that like the SUV version of your truck? (Different gen maybe, but still.)

When Chevrolet killed the caprice, the made a police Tahoe that used the same wheels tires etc to try and keep depts from going to the Crown Vic this is that generation Tahoe. It sold poorly

Different gen, but yes. Tahoes are about a meter shorter and therefore much easier to park. The police spec got a few more horsepowers, a 2" lower suspension, bigger sway bars, and such to make it a lot more fun to drive than your average Tahoe or certainly my truck. All the goodies on this one were worn out though.

One of those is definitely on my list. They’re hard to find around here without a bunch of rust. I missed a red ‘93 with a manual last year. It was a screaming deal, but I couldn’t get there until the following day ... it, of course, was already sold.
